Family History Conference - Public Affairs

Last weekend was the Family History Conference hosted by my Public Affairs team in the Bonita Springs Ward building in celebration of the Week of the Family as designated by Governor Christ. It went well! We had about 80 people present with a large number of them being non-members. Rhonda Oyster, one of my co-workers at the University was there and caught the genealogy bug. She's going to be downloading PAF from lds.org to begin her family history. This was a neat event and a fun way to end my Public Affairs career. I should be replaced any day now - but WOW, what a fun calling!

Check out the photo of my red cape and nice tiara presented by Dave Krzak, high council member over Public Affairs. It relates to the quote beneath my email signature:
"I am fairly certain that given a cape and a nice tiara, I could save the world..."

I guess I'll have to save the world now...

By the way LEAH, I accomplished my missionary goal for the year with this event. I invited five people, one came...... Yay!!!
